Choosing your platform
- Choose the Windows server Platform if your Web site development tools are based on widely used Microsoft protocols. Examples include: FrontPage, Visual InterDev, Access databases, or MSSQL databases.
- Choose Linux if your site development tools are not based on Microsoft protocols. RedHat/Linux supports a wide variety of applications, and features the some of the fastest TCP/IP drivers, shared libraries and multi-user capabilities.
NOTE: You can use either server platform regardless of the operating system you use for your computer or network at your business.
