As a Payphone Service Provider, you may qualify for exemptions from some federal, state and local taxes on any active Verizon telephone line(s).

Payphones are not normally exempt from:

911 charges
Federal Subscriber Line Charges
Municipality surcharges and fees
A customer may claim a refund of taxes paid within 36 months from the date of installation of the phone.

To receive a refund, prepare a detailed report of the taxes you have previously paid. The report must include the customer's name and billing address. List each telephone number, tax type (federal, state and local), and amounts paid by month, along with the amount of total tax to be refunded. Also, include the time period covered by the request and a copy of the tax exemption certificate.

Please submit your report to the Verizon NPCC for processing.

Mail to:
Verizon NPCC
110 E. Monroe St.
MC: ILLLBMH
Bloomington IL 61701

Our fax number is 1-800-483-4534. Or use our electronic form.

The NPCC will change the tax status on each of your accounts and issue a credit on each account for the two most current months appearing in Verizon's billing system.

A refund check will be mailed to your billing address for any remaining credit.
