Study #1: Extra Credit Earns Smiles
The Extra Credit for Schools program prides itself on building community relationships while supporting education. Over the past year, the program has donated over $500,000 to schools nationwide. As a result, many schools are reporting something to cheer about.
Terry Boehm, president of the Hillsborough
Education Foundation in Tampa, FL has this to say about the program
"The Hillsborough Education Foundation is proud to be part of the
Extra Credit for Schools program and very appreciative of the generous
support of Verizon. Extra Credit for Schools is making a difference
in the lives of our students." Boehm said he uses the funds generated
from the program to go toward scholarships for needy students. Currently,
Hillsborough has 600 students in grades 3-12 selected to receive
a scholarship.
