Important:
Basic International Rates Verizon offers international calling plans designed to meet your international calling needs. If you do not choose an international plan when you sign up for a domestic long distance plan, you will be charged basic international flat rates, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for all your direct-dialed international calls.
Charges do not include taxes and Universal Service Fees. Calling to certain destinations may be temporarily blocked without prior notice if Verizon deems it necessary to prevent unlawful or fraudulent use of its services. The Company shall generally identify on the bill the name of the country called based on the standards set forth by the International Telecommunications Union (ITU). However, political disputes about country boundaries and naming, as well as agreements the Company has with its foreign carrier partners, may result in variations in the identification of country name. For example, calls to the West Bank and Gaza may appear on the bill as Israel or Palestine. The Company's billing practices are in no way intended to indicate a position on the merits of a border dispute or a claim to statehood. Verizon International Plans are for residential voice use and may not be used for commercial purposes. Verizon may suspend, restrict or cancel your service if your usage is inconsistent with residential voice usage.
Many foreign telecommunications companies impose substantial fees on Verizon Long Distance to complete international calls for services they designate as premium. Premium services can include: international calls that terminate to wireless phones, pagers, personal computers and personal digital assistants (PDAs); international calls that require satellite technology; and international calls to chat lines or other information services such as 900-type numbers. International calls that terminate to premium services in countries that impose premium fees will have a per-minute rate that is higher than the current rates for international calls that terminate to non-premium services. If you have questions, please contact your local Verizon business office at the phone number on your monthly bill. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
