In October 2009, Moody's affirmed Verizon Communication’s 'A3' long-term and “P-2” short-term ratings and changed the outlook to stable from negative. The affirmation included the ‘A2’ senior unsecured ratings of Verizon Wireless.

In May 2010, Fitch affirmed Verizon Communication’s and its subsidiaries, including Verizon Wireless, ‘A’ long-term and ‘F-1’ short-term ratings with 'stable' outlook.

In December 2010, Standard and Poor’s downgraded the corporate credit ratings of Verizon Communications and subsidiaries, including Verizon Wireless, to ‘A –’. The short term rating of Verizon Communications was downgraded to ‘A – 2’. The ratings were removed from CreditWatch, and the outlook is now ‘stable’.
