Coordinate the delivery of projects and service management to support the PMO organization providing project management support services for HHS.  
 PMO services include the management, optimization and delivery of problem management and performance management information. Work through and collaborate with various technical teams and resources consisting of other Project Managers,  Sys Admins, and Engineers.
 • Advocating for the Customer and Verizon to the benefit of the service relationship
 • Improving system and service performance consistently over the life cycle of the relationship through using standard, consistent, globally applied PMI methods
 • Providing subject matter expertise on customer systems
 • Translating customer priorities and business direction into Verizon Business action
 • Consult with HHS on strategic, organizational, and operational challenges with their systems;
 • Establish and maintain long-term relationships with and other Verizon vendor personnel;
 • Evaluate incoming projects for operational impact to the existing systems, and implement strategies to mitigate any negative effects.
  • Tracking and reporting on Incident Management, Problem Management, as well as reporting on root cause information.
 • Identify opportunities to optimize existing SLA calculation processes
 • Review projected level of effort to implement proposed projects with the PMO team
 • Attend project meetings with HHS, identify risks/issues, progress of projects, milestones, current/projected spend, change orders, etc.
 • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term, client relationships
 • Experience with technical projects such as software deployment, enterprise systems infrastructure, business process development. • Must be able to manage small to medium sized projects using industry standard tools and methodologies
 • A solid understanding of overall business functions and the impact of technical decisions on business results
 • Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills required.

5+ years Project Management experience
Experience managing multiple projects through full life cycle

Technical or System Project Management experience, with the ability to analyze problems, develop solutions and make recommendations that impact business processes

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent organization and time management skills


Ability to be effective in a high volume, fast paced changing environment

Detail oriented and the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy

Ability to manage multiple competing priorities

Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

Accustomed to working with deadlines

Excellent MS Project, Excel, Word and Outlook skills

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science or similar discipline  or equivalent work experience  (First consideration will be given to those candidates who hold a degree) 

Experience with quality tools and principles

Fundamental knowledge of software packages designated as necessary to do the job
