Position Responsibilities:

Tier 3 Senior SEM engineers are assigned the SSE role within the SOC to work closely with our customers on their Managed SEM solutions. The Verizon Managed SEM platform leverages Arcsight in a hybrid model with Verizon's proprietary SEAM engine for event correlation and reporting. Applicants to this role would be expected to have significant Arcsight experience in both 4.x and 5.x, proficient in ESM, Express, Connectors and Logger. This is a Tier 3 role, working closely with the SOC team as an escalation point for complex problem analysis and incident troubleshooting. Regular touch points with the customer base also require strong communication skills to translate business requirements into technical implementation.  As a third level engineer you would also be engaged in other activities to support SOC analysts as needed.

Required Skills & Experience:

- Expert technical skills in managed devices, including relevant certifications
- Experience building & managing ArcSight use cases & content, driven from customer requirements
- Bachelors / Postgraduate degree in Computer Science / Security / Other
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Exceptional problem solving skills
- Ability to drive process improvements and identify gaps
- Proactive in engaging with customers, client executives and other Verizon teams

Desired Skills & Experience:

- ITIL Practitioner in a relevant area
- At least 3-5 years SOC experience as a senior engineer
- Foreign language skills are a bonus
- Platform experience with RSA enVision also a bonus
- Arsight ACSA, ACIA and other relevant security certifications such as CCSP, CCSE, SANS or CISSP
