We are currently looking for an experienced wholesale sales professional, to join our existing team based in St Leonards. As an Account Manager, you will identify and sell across the full range of Global Wholesale solutions, products, and services offered by Verizon Global Wholesale. You will guide customers through issues requiring creative, out-of-box solutions, you will explore options and trade-offs of decisions and solutions for new and existing customers.
As the Account Manager, your main responsibilities will involve:
Independently prospect for new Global Wholesale trading and sales business opportunities according to business plans and targets set in conjunction with the Sales Management team.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with existing key customer and prospect contacts to determine objectives in their organisation s current and planned business needs, buying criteria and decision-making process.
Identify, qualify and assess customer requirements and communicate to prospects the benefits of proposed solutions and negotiate alternatives. Manage customer expectations within what the company can deliver.
Work with pre sales support (eg. Technical consultants, Bid Management) and external business partners within overall policies to bring suitable opportunities to closure.
Work with internal business units and support organisations to proactively keep abreast of all developments and intelligence within Verizon and in the global market in order to best address your customer and prospect opportunities.
Develop and implement account plans through all stages to closure for top 10 customers/prospects on an ongoing basis. Track progress against plans and take action to ensure targets are met.
Respond to customer requests; identify and define customer problems; lead and own the resolution process.
Maintain the OVI database system for the purpose of keeping up-to-date customer contact listings for on-going account management and direct marketing.
Produce weekly, monthly, and other regular reports and forecasts as directed by Sales Manager on activity levels and progress against targets.
Represent Verizon in a professional manner to customers, vendors, and business partners to promote the company as a quality supplier with the aim of achieving preferred supplier status.
Actively engage and participate in sales training and other internal activities as directed by Sales Manager.
Qualifications: -As the Account Manager, your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
Proven experience selling high value Global Wholesale solutions, products, and services in the wholesale telecommunications market.
Thorough understanding of the sales cycle in a Global Wholesale trading and selling environment.
Knowledge and understanding of the wholesale telecommunications market, products and technologies
Strong analytical, negotiating and account management skills
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills both verbal and written
Ability to analyse and differentiate customers needs
An understanding of Business Procedures, e.g. Finance, Marketing, Forecasting, Business Plans and Contracts
