The Optimization Manager will lead and direct Verizon Wireless online commerce multivariate testing program so conversion rates and revenues are maximized for verizonwireless.com. This role will also direct and manage the leverage of User Generated Content throughout the organization. This manager will have both Editorial and Optimization resources reporting to them and will have overall responsibilities of four staff members. This person is a self-driven, high energy and proactive professional who can analyze data and create effective test plans that gain customer insight, while working with other departments, vendors, development and design teams, executing complex test launches and meeting tight deadlines. In addition, this person will be working with various vendors and third parties, directing and managing the editorial teams, including User Generated Content and Ratings and Reviews. This professional will be the primary driver of the optimization, social and User Generated Content team, creating a culture that recognizes that content is King. 1. Manage and Direct all efforts with BazaarVoice and its Ratings & Review and Ask & Answer platforms, ensuring that BazaarVoice s User Generated Content is properly implemented and leveraged throughout the organization. Create strategy and direction for BazaarVoice s Roadmap to World Class, directing the process of question response and review. Direct and manage all efforts with the implementation of videos on all parts of the Verizon Wireless website. 2. Direct and Manage the Internet Sales & Operations Department s Social Media and Support teams, managing the end to end implementation of social media and User Generated Content throughout the Verizon Wireless site. 3. Create strategy, direct and manage the team that is creating, implementing and reporting website, page testing and optimization plans, Direct and manage the team of professionals responsible for ensuring that tests are successfully implemented and deployed. Manage cross-functional teams and leaders in other organizations to ensure the global alignment in conventions and metric definitions, providing guidance in business reviews with a focus on web analytics and site performance. 4. Direct and manage the online marketing, analytics CIS teams to ensure that channel-specific landing pages and microsites are being tracked and optimized based on testing, analytics and critical KPIs. 5. Lead the conversion optimization process across website pages, microsites, products, marketing channels, user profiles, markets, industries and countries. Act as a leader for the latest testing methods and practices, including investigating new tools and technologies, including digital analytics, marketing techniques and conversion testing.
Qualifications
Bachelor s Degree in Information Science, Advertising, Marketing, Computer Science, Math, MIS, English, Journalism, Communications, or related field required. Masters Degree preferred. 3-5 years online testing and marketing experience with a focus on web analytics and/or optimization and direct involvement in multivariate and A/B testing 3-5 years of experience in managing the analysis of data, reports and recommendations preparation Experience managing and developing teams and team members 3-5 years Social Media and User Generated Content experience Experience with BazaarVoice s workbench preferred but not required. Experience with online Content Management Systems and other Software As A Service (SAAS) platforms a definite plus Experience with managing testing and analytics platforms, including Adobe Test & Target and Site Catalyst Strong analytical mindset and skills, including the demonstrated ability to work with and manage a team to solve complex problems Ability to work independently and prioritize work assignments, based on changing business needs Demonstrated understanding and regular working knowledge of basic mathematical and statistical operations and functions Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
