Functional Responsibilities:

Implementation of customer networks (WAN, LAN, Data center, IPT, etc.)
•Plan, configure and implement network infrastructure following standards set by customer.
•Create and update documentation and records of the customer's network.
•Manage the deliverables on customer design and implementation projects.
•Ability to work multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently.
•Communicate and provide direction to customer’s technical staff on installation and implementation of infrastructure.
•Fourth-level support for Operations in the Incident and Problem Management process.

Required Qualifications:

This individual must possess a solid understanding of TCP IP, including sub-netting, routing protocols and the OSI model.  Candidates must be able to work occasional weekend or flexible work hours.  Must be able to work efficiently on multiple projects while maintaining a high quality work standard.  Must be able to work with minimal direction or supervision and maintain schedules and target goals.

Technical knowledge and experience at CCNP or similar level with focus on contemporary technologies (e.g. MPLS, TCP/IP, IPSec, BGP, QoS, IP Telephony, Multicast, etc.).   
Candidates will exhibits broad knowledge in additional protocols, LAN Networking media types such as Ethernet. Also, broad knowledge in Network WAN offerings such as Cellular, Frame Relay, ATM, IP/VPN, MPLS and PIP a media such as ISDN, T1, DS3, OC3, etc. Basic knowledge in voice and VOIP technologies and ability to use specialized diagnostic tools.

Strong project management experience and use of the Microsoft suite of products desired. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills required. Demonstrated effective verbal and written communications skills are necessary.   Basic knowledge of business processes (e.g. ITIL, Project Management) and the impact thereof on the technical environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or telecommunications preferred.
Working knowledge of transmission principles and at least 3-5 years of IP networking experience required.
Experience working in a Network Operations Center environment.
