The role requires technical expertise in the area of managed networking infrastructure services and security. You will need to understand the design, build and functions of complex IP networks from the physical installation to the finished network Troubleshooting all network and firewall-related issues, you must have knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, VPNS, SSL and firewall. Other competencies include Cisco IOS on the 2600 through the GSR12000 series, IOS/CatOS on Catalyst 6500 switches. You should also be familiar with Cisco CSS 11000-11500 series load balancers, Cisco Pix firewalls, F5 BigIP load balancers, Cisco ASA firewalls VPN concentrators, and Nokia/Checkpoint appliances. You must have knowledge of Network Load balancer, with Routing tables, dynamic routing protocols, IOS access-lists, MAC, ARP and VLANs. Also configuring routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP as well as other protocols such as IPSEC.
Qualifications: Holding a BSc or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or IT, complemented by industry certification CCNA/CCNP, you should have a background in supporting large scale networking design. ITIL Certification would be preferred, with secondary skill knowledge on PIX, ASA, NGX, Juniper, F5 Exposure to Remedy, Cisco works, Tacacs, and HP Open view. Having already worked with a US team, you should have experience in large enterprise portals. Onsite travel experience would be an added advantage. Ours is one of the largest wholly owned, facilities-based networks in the world.
