Position Responsibilities

Leading large, cross-division functional teams or projects that affect the organizations long-term goals and objectives.

  • Candidate will be responsible for delivering end results - driving all dependencies and deliverables as needed.
  • Focus on solution development, architectural design and implementation for assigned customer base with specific emphasis on: Verizon Services & Operations; however likely be extend to Verizon Telecom, Verizon Business and Verizon Wireless customer base.
  • Translating customer business issues/ opportunities into technical solutions and design.
  • Serving as an architect for multi-faceted, multi-technology solutions.
  • Ability to identify different architectural options and their associated trade-offs.
  • Partnering with other Verizon Services & Operations subject matter experts to build the customer's solution.
  • Possessing strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Authoring and delivering technical designs built off of customer statements of work.
  • May participate in cross-division, multi-function teams.
  • Provides mentoring and guidance to lower level employees.
  • Assisting Stakeholders in developing business requirements for all improvement opportunities/projects.
  • The ability to quickly understand and be able to articulate business impacts of technical decisions and drive solutions to specific business problems through the effective use of technology.
  • Providing technical quality assurance at various points along a project lifecycle.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Qualified candidates will possess minimum six of experience in technical design and implementation.
  • A candidate's demonstrated ability to engage in senior level technology decision maker discussions related to agility, business value, and end to end information technology is a must..
  • Successful candidates will have performed numerous design and implementation projects from small to very large environments with many different operating systems, applications architectures and technologies.
  • Qualified candidates will have the expert level knowledge required for assisting customers in architecting, planning, testing and deploying solutions including the following: 8 - 10 years IT Delivery experience.
  • Minimum eight years of experience in designing and deploying Enterprise Solutions in a technical consulting environment.
  • Proven experience selling consulting engagements which includes estimating, scoping, and writing effective statements of work that clearly set expectations and limit risk.
  • Capability to effectively manage/control the 'proof-of-concept" phase, ensuring rigidity in scope definition and providing/agreeing upon front-end success criteria.
  • Ability to effectively communicate to C-Level customer contacts; demonstrated relationship interaction at all levels of an organization, including leadership level of client IT organizations.
  • Demonstrated excellence at presenting complex information technology topics to both executive and technical personnel.
  • An ability to articulate architectural differences between solution methods and the challenges and approaches to integrating solutions built on different platforms including a working knowledge of different architectural frameworks that may be used by our customers.
  • The role requires an individual who is resourceful, confident under pressure, and has demonstrated skill in both crisis management and expectation management.
  • The role would require leading and driving resources with varied skills (developer, designer, analyst, business domain SME, etc.), varied types (employee, offshore and T&M) in multiple location in multiple countries.
