The primary function of the Audit Engineer is to serve as a technical audit resource on projects executed by the Implementation organization. The Audit Engineer is expected to validate, perform remediation, and finalize readiness of servers and network devices before entering into support.
Candidate will be responsible for the following:
Deliver servers to support from implementation with 99% defect free accuracy.
Finalize transition to support (TTS Process), including, but not limited to the following tasks:
Verify monitoring activation and documentation
Resolution of outstanding monitors displaying in pre-production AMS view
Verify final logical diagram and publishing to SharePoint
Verify activation and audit of production system backups
Verify content loaded on server for live system
Verify DNS manipulation in preparation for go-live
Schedule and participate in transition to support meetings with support.
Verify log management and event viewers
Perform security audits on devices moving from implementation to support.
Identify consistent problem areas or common flaws in the devices being audited, and work with build team to resolve issues upstream in order to improve overall quality.
Complete related tasks for documentation, monitoring and supportability.
Required Skills:
Academic: Bachelors in IT or MIS; Industry Certifications: Microsoft MCSE or MCDBA, Sun SCSA, HP ASE/Certified professional, Cisco CCNA/CCIE, Citrix will all be beneficial. Systems, network administration or application administration in a mid-market/large market IT shop of greater than 250 end user seats. Minimum of 2 years of experience and prefer 4-6 years of experience.
Hard Skills: OS and platform skills (Windows, UNIX, HP, Sun, Cisco), IP networking, data networking, database skills (SQL, Oracle), troubleshooting experience required.
Soft Skills: Customer Focused, good organizational skills, effective written and verbal communication.
