Position Responsibilities

Candidate will be responsible primarily for the design and development of key strategic initiatives in FiOS and HSI service fulfillment area. This includes but is not limited to creating detail design documents, preparing test cases, developing and testing code using J2EE framework, use technical expertise to troubleshoot test and production issues, database design, build and tune SQL queries. They will also be responsible for developing metrics and reports for system performance monitoring, understanding and adhering to Verizon IT security standards for compliances.

Required Skills & Experience

• At least 5 yrs experience in architecture, design and development of large distributed system spread over multiple data centers using Web logic, J2EE, MQ and Oracle.
• At least 5 yrs experience with configuring and fine tuning JVM, MS/MQ- Application design, development and implementation experience, with a strong background in Java/J2EE architecture and integration with middleware and RDBMS.
• At least 3 years' experience with writing J2EE code and performance enhancement of application to handle large transaction volume.
• At least 2 to 3 years' experience with Web logic clustering and session/connection management when server failover from one data center to the other.
• In depth knowledge of Web logic and J2EE internal, configuration and tuning.
• Experience with Web services and SOA in J2EE platform.
• Experience in developing and deploying mission critical J2EE applications.
• Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field. Candidates who hold degrees will be given first consideration.
