As a DNS Systems Administrator your objective is to maintain systems and processes used to manage, secure, and control the data of Terremark’s systems management infrastructure.
Responsibilities:

Ongoing maintenance & administration of assigned systems

Adherence to policies, processes and procedures within your areas of responsibility

Assistance with execution of projects related to areas of responsibility
-
Identifying the needs of clients and meeting these needs through proper data research
-
Ensure the integrity and security of data from unauthorized individuals
-
Oversight and control of data resources for the organization
-
Ensure that the required data is always available to those who need it so that the right person can always find the right data when they need it

Presentation of data in manner that users can understand

Complete periodic account audits and record activity taken

Administer DNS records
-
Designed, develop and deploy a unified DNS solution for Terremark
-
Assist in monitoring the group trouble ticket/work order queue and work to complete tickets as needed
You are expected to maintain a working, interactive relationship with both internal and external customers to gather requirements and to address escalated concerns. You are expected to stay current and proficient on emerging technologies through self-study and internal training, and meet all internal certification standards for skill sets identified within the realm of responsibility. As a member of a 24x7 technical support team, you must be available for after-hours critical escalations.
Required Skills & Experience:
-
5+ years of broad-based IT experience with technical knowledge of network, hardware, storage, operating systems and applications

5+ years DNS experience
-
3+ years Linux/Unix experience
-
3+ years Microsoft DNS experience
-
Working knowledge of PowerShell 2.0 or Linux equivalent
-
Bachelors or Associates Degree required
-
Excellent documentation, communication and interpersonal skills
-
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
-
Ability to efficiently prioritize and organize competing work demands with little oversight
Desired Skills & Experience:
-
Experience with BlueCat Adonis/Proteus systems is a plus
