Job Description
We are looking for a Security Software Test Engineer to join our team. The location is Miami, FL. Support Secure Information Services (SIS) activities with regards to developing and executing test strategies and plans, procedures and scenarios for software unit, process, function, system integration and acceptance testing. Consult with the SIS development/requirement leads and subject matter experts to coordinate and test applications. Ensure new features and software modifications meet requirements and operate satisfactorily in Terremark operational environments. Develop Python, PHP and JavaScript programs to assist in afore mentioned activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, & METRICS
The Test Engineer will have responsibilities for developing and executing test plans, procedures and scenarios for unit, process, function, system integration and acceptance testing.
The Test Engineer will have responsibilities for building/maintaining both physical and virtual test environments/ranges
Project oriented experience, excellent written and communication skills as well as a strong technical background in test engineering. The Test Engineer will also be responsible for building software distributions and packaging.
Metrics - KPIs
KPI's will be matched to the Outcomes as described in the Essential Functions above.
Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year College or university in Computer Science or a related field; or 6 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•The candidate needs a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the system integration/testing field and or relevant experience.
•Experience writing detailed test plans, schedules, procedures, and scenarios.
•Experience building both physical and virtual test environments/ranges
•Experience with building software distribution/packaging (virtual appliances)
•Experience creating automated test scripts (Python, PHP, JavaScript)
•Proficient in a Unix/Linux environment
•Knowledge of computer and network security concepts (digital forensics)
•Support design validation testing, planning, installation/setup procedure development, script development, server builds, and integration/migration testing.
