Position Responsibilities

Work in all aspects of the OMAHA Data Center Operations Midrange hardware activities, including:
• Provide 24 x 7 technical support for the OMAHA data center
• Perform hardware support activities, including installations and decommissions, pulling cables and hardware troubleshooting
• Perform cable site surveys and cable runs
• Environmental monitoring within the Data Center
• Provide tape support as required
• Participate in on-call pager rotation for problem resolution

Required Skills & Experience
• 2-3 years in an operations environment
• Excellent understanding of server hardware and technology
• Good understanding of facilities infrastructure
• Good understanding of Verizon tape technology
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Excellent customer skills
• Excellent team skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Associates degree required
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Related Field. Candidates who hold degrees will be given first consideration.

• Experience with specific expertise in switchboard, generator, UPS,  HVAC systems and CRE unit maintenance
