The Senior eContent Delivery Network Engineer will provide technical leadership and expertise in the development, implementation, and support of content delivery network integration projects in conjunction with ecommerce websites. Implement complex content delivery network configurations based on business and technical requirements. Serve as a technical escalation point for incident management. Research, develop and improve best practices to include changes in technology as it pertains to Verizon offerings. Provide pre & post sales support to clients and internal teams to provide best of breed support.
Qualifications: Requires a broad range of Internet engineering skills to effectively perform complex project implementations and meet service delivery goals. Requires familiarity with principles, theories, concepts and technologies surrounding content delivery networks such as Akamai in conjunction with web technologies including but not limited to Apache, IIS, PHP, Perl, and ASP. Generally requires a BS degree in Computer Science and experience in a related discipline.
Additional Qualifications: ITIL v3, CCNA, Akamai CDN or other pertinent technical certifications highly recommended. Excellent technical written and presentation skills in addition to relationship management skills.
