Global Frame Relay uses the public network to give you multiple pre-established paths through the Frame Relay network. Unlike leased lines that use physical circuits, Global Frame Relay uses Permanent Virtual Circuits (PVCs) that divide and transmit data in packets (frames) of variable length. The service pools and optimizes circuit capacity, so you pay only for the line capacity you use.
Global Frame Relay dynamically allocates frame relay resources in the most efficient manner on a packet-by-packet basis resulting in decreased in decreased network overload and less wasted bandwidth.
