Call Waiting Deluxe
Types of Changes:
The Call Waiting Deluxe feature allows a customer on an existing call to be notified of another incoming call, and visually provides the following dispensation options: answer the call and put the existing call on hold; answer the call and disconnect the existing call; forward the call; connect the call to an announcement; put the call on hold connected to a hold announcement; or conference the call with the existing call.
The Call Waiting Deluxe feature will utilize the Analog Display Services Interface to download the Call Waiting Deluxe feature scripts to the customer’s Customer Premises Equipment (CPE).
Call Waiting Deluxe and the Analog Display Services Interface will be offered consistent with the industry standards as defined in Bell Communications Research (Bellcore) technical documentation.

Limited deployment of Call Waiting Deluxe will take place in Virginia iand in New Jersey in December, 1996. Bell Atlantic anticipates the feature being deployed throughout the Region beginning in 1997. To confirm the scheduled deployment dates, contact the Consumer Services Product Manager listed below.
