The Appliance Switch reports real-time energy consumption. Appliance Switches can also be used to turn connected appliances on/off remotely.  The Appliance Switch is for 110 volt appliances only, such as TVs, stereos, fans, floor heaters, smaller air conditioning window units and most kitchen appliances. 

Set up from the Setup Wizard

From the online Setup Wizard you'll select the Appliance Switch* and follow instructions to activate and"pair" it with your Gateway Device.

*On the Setup Wizard, you'll only see the devices associated with the Home Monitoring and Control kit you purchased.

Warning:  

• If your 110v appliance requires constant power, do not connect it to the Appliance Switch. Examples: refrigerators, freezers or critical medical devices

   

• If the Appliance Switch device is turned off, the connected appliance is also powered off, which could cause food in a refrigerator to spoil or critical medical devices to stop working.

Set up Tips:

• When you add the Appliance Switch to your Home Monitoring and Control service, the Remote Control and/or the Gateway Device should be within 5 feet of the Appliance Switch.
   

• The pairing process between the Remote Control or Gateway Device must be completed within 30 seconds. If you took longer than 30 seconds, repeat the pairing steps outlined in the Setup Wizard.

• How do I know the Appliance Switch is on? The blue power light remains on continuously. The power light will blink until it is paired correctly with the Gateway Device and Remote Control.




• The Appliance Module automatically turns off if the energy load connected to the 110v Appliance Module is above 15 amps.
