Step 1: Scan for a Wireless Network
_________________________________________________________________________________________- Visit http://monitoringcontrol.verizon.com and click Device Settings.
- Click the Device Settings button for your Indoor Camera. The Device Settings - Indoor Camera page displays.
- From the menu bar, click WIFI SETTINGS.
- From the Device Settings – Indoor Camera page, click Scan Network. The system searches for a wireless network. When scanning finishes, a list of networks displays.
Step 2: Enter your SSID and Network Password

Select your own network name (SSID) from the list and enter your network password.
Note: When entering your SSID and password, make sure they do not contain any of the following special characters: $ \ " < > % If your they contain any of these characters, you will need to log into your Internet Router and modify your network name (SSID) and / or network password to exclude those special characters.
Step 3: Connect to your Wireless Network

Click Connect. The system validates your network credentials.
If your Wi-Fi Connection is successful, you’ll see the following message: “Your camera is now connected to Wi-Fi.” Proceed to Step 4
If Wi-Fi connection is not successful:
- Make sure your network name (SSID) and network password are correct, as well as your other network encryption information (i.e., WEP, WPA, or WPA2). Try connecting again. If successful, proceed to Step 4.
- Log into your Internet Router and look up your Key Index number. Tip: Leave your Wi-Fi Settings page open so you can return to it later.
Return to the Wi-Fi Settings page and click Advanced Settings. Make sure the Key Index number shown on this screen matches the key index information for your Internet Router service. If it does not match, select a different Key Index number from this screen. Click the Back button to return to the previous screen and try connecting again.
Step 4: Unplug power and Ethernet cords from your Camera
_________________________________________________________________________________________After creating a successful wireless connection with your camera:
- Unplug the power cord from the back of your camera.
- Unplug the Ethernet cable from the back of your camera.
- Plug the power cord back into your camera.
Your camera is now portable and can be moved to another location of your home (as long as it‘s within range of your Internet Router and there is a nearby power outlet).
Note: After you set up a wireless connection for your Camera, you do not need to re-pair your Gateway with your Camera. Your Camera should still appear as an active device from the Home Monitoring and Control Website (within My Verizon), smartphone or FiOS TV app.
