When adding computers to a D-Link wireless home network, you must install a wireless network adapter for each computer you're connecting to your home network. These network adapters receive and transmit the radio waves used to send and receive data.
Desktop Computers
Install a D-Link wireless USB network adapter for each desktop computer you're connecting to your home network. A USB cable connects the wireless adapter to an available USB port on your computer.
Notebook Computers
If you're connecting a laptop computer to your home network, you have two options for wireless network adapters.
- Install a D-Link wireless USB network adapter into an available USB port.
- Install a D-Link wireless notebook adapter into an available slot on the side panel of your notebook computer.
