If you're using WEP encryption on your home network, it's important that you change your WEP encryption key regularly to help protect your network. One of the weaknesses of WEP encryption is that it uses a static encryption key. You can compensate for this weakness somewhat by changing your network's SSID several times a year.
Note: If you change your network's WEP key, you must update the WEP key settings for all computers and adapters connected to your network.
