Step 3: Identifying your shared folders in Windows 2000 A home network allows you to share folders with the other users on your home network. In this step, you will identify the folders on your computer that are shared. Only these shared folders will be visible to the other uses on the network.

Note: Before you can share folders on your computer, you must Configure Windows 2000 to allow others to share the folders on your computer.

To share folders in Windows 2000:
  1. Open Windows Explorer.


  2. Navigate to the folder you are sharing.


  3. Right click on the folder you want to share.


  4. Select Sharing from the pop-up menu.
