Step 3: Installing the ZyXEL USB wireless adapter
| | | | | |
The ZyXEL wireless USB adapter is needed to send and receive the radio waves that are used to communicate over your wireless network.
- Remove the "cap" of the ZyXEL adapter to expose the USB connector. The cap is the portion with "ZyXEL" on it.
- Plug the ZyXEL USB connector into an available USB port on your computer. You should see a message in the bottom right corner of your monitor informing you that new hardware has been found and that drivers are being installed. An additional message will display when the driver installation has completed.
- Note: It isn't necessary to install the ZyXEL software when using Windows Vista. The security settings that could be set using the ZyXEL software will be entered in the Vista setup wizard.
