Steps to add a computer to a Verizon MI424WR wired network with a FiOS connection


A network interface card (NIC) is required for each computer you are connecting to your home network. An Ethernet cable will connect an available port in the back panel of the router to the NIC in your computer.

Before you can add a computer to your network, you must verify it has a NIC installed by using Windows Device Manager or looking for a Data Port on your computer.

Note: Network Interface Cards are also called Ethernet adapters.
