What must a sub-account owner do to use Verizon Wi-Fi? Before a sub-account owner can use Verizon Wi-Fi, the primary account owner must register for Verizon Wi-Fi and provide the Verizon Wi-Fi user name and password to the sub-account owner. The Verizon Wi-Fi user name and password are required to download the Verizon Wi-Fi Connect software, as well as to use the Verizon Wi-Fi service at Verizon Wi-Fi hotspots.

After the primary account owner has registered for Verizon Wi-Fi and given you the Verizon Wi-Fi user name and password, you're ready to download the Verizon Wi-Fi Connect software.
  1. Open a browser like Internet Explorer and enter www.verizon.net in the Address field. [Show Me]

  2. Find the Account Management widget. If you are a sub-account owner and eligible for the free Verizon Wi-Fi service, Manage and Download your Verizon Wi-Fi will display as a link in the widget. Click this link to begin the Verizon Wi-Fi Connect software download and follow the on-screen prompts.

  3. Account Management

  4. When you have downloaded and installed the Verizon Wi-Fi Connect software, you will have a HotSpot Search icon on your computer's desktop and a Wi-Fi Connect icon in your right Taskbar. Right click the Wi-Fi Connect icon in the right Taskbar and select Update to update the list of available Verizon Wi-Fi hotspots. [Show Me]

  5. Right click the Wi-Fi Connect icon in the right Taskbar and select Hotspot Search to find Verizon Wi-Fi hotspots in your area. [Show Me]
You're ready to use the Verizon Wi-Fi service.
