    • Creating a new profile for your Verizon Online email in Netscape® Messenger 4.5 - 4.7 on the Mac®
    1. Open the Netscape Users folder. This folder is usually located on the hard drive, in the System Folder\\Preferences\\Netscape Users folder.
    2. Double-click User Profiles to start the Netscape Profile Manager.
    3. Select New to create a new profile.
    4. Click Next and fill in your account information:
      • In the Name field, enter your name.
      • In the Email Address field, enter your Verizon Online email address, and then click Next.
        The Profile Name defaults to the full name you entered.
      • Verify the destination location of your user file and select Next.
    5. Netscape displays the destination location of your user file. Select Next.
    6. In the Outgoing mail server address field, type smtp.verizon.net.
    7. Enter your Verizon Online user name.
    8. In the Incoming mail server address field, type pop.verizon.net.
    9. Select the POP server type, and then select Next.
    10. In the News server address field, type news.verizon.net.
    11. Select Next.
    12. To create shortcut icons on your Mac desktop, select them from the Shortcut Icons screen, and then select Next.
    13. To import email addresses or bookmarks from other programs, select the Import information from other programs option and click Next.
    14. Click Done.
