Do I need any additional equipment for Verizon Wi-Fi?
If you have a wireless-enabled laptop or netbook, no additional equipment is needed to use the Verizon’s Wi-Fi service. As long as you have registered, installed the Verizon Wi-Fi Connect software on your laptop or netbook, and know the Verizon Wi-Fi user name and password, you will have full access to Verizon Wi-Fi service.*
If you don't have a wireless-enabled laptop or netbook, you will need to purchase a wireless network card and plug it into your computer.
*Verizon Wi-Fi is available with select High Speed Internet packages and in designated locations only. The service requires Windows 7 (32-bit or 64-bit), Windows Vista (32-bit or 64-bit), or Windows XP 32-bit with Service Pack 3. Verizon Wi-Fi is not available on Macintosh or Windows XP 64-bit operating systems.
