The Vista Set up a wireless router or access point wizard will do most of the work to configure your Actiontec GT704WGB wireless network. The wizard will open your Actiontec GT704WGB configuration utility so you can enter two critical pieces of information, and then it will do the rest.
The first critical piece of information is a name for your network. This is called your network's SSID (Service Set Identifier) and can be any combination of numbers and letters that you choose, as long as it doesn't exceed 32 characaters. All devices connected to your network must use the same SSID.
The second piece of critical information is a network encryption key. The encryption key helps to keep your network data secure by encrypting the data before it is sent wirelessly between computers on your network. You must use the same type of encryption (WEP, WPA2 or WPA) and enter the same encryption key for all devices connected to your network.
