- Click Start in the left Taskbar.
- Click Connect To.
[Show Me] - The Connect to a Network window displays the available wireless networks. The left column displays the SSID of the network, the middle column tells you whether the network has security enabled, and the right column shows the relative signal strength of the wireless network. Select the network you want to use and click Connect.
- Enter your network's security key or passphrase when prompted. You may want to select Display characters to make it easier to enter your WEP key or passphrase.
[Show Me] - Note: If you previously saved your network security settings to a flash drive, you can insert the flash drive into an available USB port. Your network security settings will be automatically downloaded so you don't have to enter them in this screen.
- After Vista connects your computer to the network, the final screen displays two prompts.
- Select Save This Network to save this network setup information in the Manage Wireless Networks window for easy reference later.
[Show Me] - Select Start this Connection Automatically if you want to connect to this network automatically each time it's in range of this computer.
[Show Me] - Click Close to complete setup.
- Repeat Step 5 to connect additional computers to your wireless network.
