Position the router or gateway to limit your exposure
You can reduce the risk of the signals from your wireless router reaching your neighbors by locating your router or gateway near the center of your home. Wireless signals from your router or gateway can reach up to 100 feet. If you have your router or gateway near a window or outside wall, it’s much easier for the wireless signals to reach a neighbor’s property. By locating your router or gateway near the center of your home, you can use walls and other obstructions to help prevent the signals from reaching past your property.
