To run the ipconfig command in Windows Vista:
- Click Start in the left Taskbar.
- EnterĀ cmd in the Start Search box and press Shift-Control-Enter to open the Command Prompt window in Administrative mode.
- Enter ipconfig /release at the Command Prompt.
- Enter Exit to close the Command Prompt window.
