Before you download and install the FiOS Mobile Remote application, register your mobile device so that it can control your FiOS TV HD DVR or HD Set-Top box (STB).

After you have registered, you receive a text message to your mobile device with a link to install the application:

1. Open the text message and click the link provided to install the application.
   
   Instructions for Motorola DROID:
   Installation may take a few minutes. After installing, select FiOS Mobile Remote from your apps. list.
   
   Instructions for HTC Imagio:
   
   1. Read the End User Licence agreement and press I Agree.
   2. Select Open to open the app. file.
      FiOS Mobile Remote begins to install. This may take a few minutes.
   3. Open the Start menu.
   4. Select FiOS Mobile Remote from your apps. list.
   
   
2. If you haven’t already done so, connect to the same Wi-Fi router where your HD STB is connected.
   
   
3. Open the Mobile Remote application on your mobile device.
   
   
4. Enter your Name, and the last 4 digits of your mobile number and press OK. 
   
   The application searches for all the HD STBs you have registered with this mobile number. The STB name flashes in the top-right corner of your TV, and a list of STBs is displayed on your mobile device.
   
   Example:  STB 1
   
   
5. Select the STB name to which you want to connect.
   
   Wait until you see the following message display on your TV:
   
   You can now use your mobile device as a FiOS TV Remote.
   
   
6. Press OK on your TV remote control.
