SIT offers system and subsystem testing, laboratory facilities support, and technical consultation to our customers under written contract with Verizon. The major focus is to validate products/services that may be of interest to Verizon.

To fulfill its mission, SIT performs the following functions:

• System and Subsystem Testing — SIT tests, integrates, and validates network and service platforms and management systems.
  
• Laboratory Facilities Support — SIT provides testing facilities and resources.  This service involves the preparation and ongoing support of network equipment, other hardware and software, interconnection facilities, test tools, and operations support systems for the elements under test.
  
• Technical Consultation — SIT offers consulting services from in-house subject matter experts in a number of technology areas. These include, but are not limited to, NEBS compliance reviews, RFI/RFP teams, technical requirements definition, field trial, network planning activities, and technology strategy setting.
