About FUSF Exemption
Verizon applies a Federal Universal Service Fund (FUSF) Surcharge to recover its Universal Service contribution obligations.
Verizon Local Exchange Resale and Interstate Switched Access and Interstate Special Access customers may use this electronic FUSF surcharge exemption certification process to identify themselves as direct contributors to the Federal Universal Service Fund and therefore exempt from Verizon's FUSF surcharge. Customers can certify Exemption from these surcharges at the Access Carrier Name Abbreviation (ACNA) level for Local Exchange Resellers or at the ACNA and/or at the Billing Account Number (BAN) level for Switched and Special Access Carriers.
