Verizon's disaster recovery objective is to manage and control all aspects of a disaster/ crisis event as they relate to our network services by Responding, Restoring, Recovering, and Mitigating in an organized and professional manner. Continuity plans are developed at the business unit level to establish continuity strategies for the business unit's mission critical elements and command, control and communications processes. Mission critical center plans are developed for each mission critical center identified by the business unit. Mission critical center plans identify center specific continuity and emergency response actions that would be taken by the center should an emergency event occur that impacts the center.
