In accordance with the Pennsylvania PUC Order Docket No. C-00981941 entered March 15, 2001; Verizon is extending the Lehighton exchange Local Calling Area (LCA). Lehighton will have Palmerton added to its local calling area.

Effective January 21, 2002, Lehighton (484 294, 629 & 610-377, 379, 577, 875) may now call Palmerton (610-824, 826) as a local call. Your Lehighton end-users will no longer be billed a toll charge for calls to these exchanges. Dialing for your end-users will not change. Your Lehighton will continue to dial these Palmerton numbers as they do today.

The monthly rates for your local service will NOT change.

The current Lehighton local calling area is Jim Thorpe, Lehighton, Nesquehoning,

NXX = 377, 379, 577, 875

NPA = 484

NXX = 294,629

NXX = 325, 413, 732

NXX = 669, 273

NXX = 824, 826

As of January 21, 2002, the new Lehighton Local Calling Area will be Jim Thorpe, Lehighton, Nesquehoning, and Palmerton. The Palmerton NPA = 610 NXX = 824,826.

Lehighton will NOT change rate groups. No changes in billing will occur.
