Overview
The Appointment Scheduling Inquiry is used to view available installation appointment dates or reserve an appointment prior to processing a "plain old telephone service" (POTS)or Loop LSR.


When to Use
The Appointment Scheduling Inquiry allows the CLEC to determine a date and time for a technician to be dispatched to the end user location for installation of new or additional lines or to move existing lines.When reserving an appointment date a firm order is required to be submitted within 5 business hours to reserve the date selected on the Appointment Scheduling Inquiry. Determining a Due Date for non-dispatchable requests is available by using the Verizon Interval Guides. A firm order is required to reserve the date selected on the inquiry.


How to Complete
NOTE: A successful Address Validation Inquiry must be completed prior to using the Appointment Scheduling Inquiry.

The required fields for submission of this inquiry are Company Code, Transaction Type, Transaction Act, Type of Service, Request Type, Action, "Transaction Number," "Type of Service," "State/Province," If the request is for a Loop, the NC, NCI, SECNCI and SLI are also required.

If a specific date is required the APPRD field should be populated.

If a specific date and time is required the APPRD and APPTTIME should be populated.

If the APPRD is left blank, Verizon will assign the due date based on the Standard Interval Tables.

    When a specific date is requested but is not available, the Availalble Appointment List will display up to 25 available appointments and dates.
