E-IDSR provides you and your customers diversity and the ultimate in survivability at interoffice facilities, the local loop and your Verizon wire center. An E-IDSR network easily meets even the most stringent requirements for concentrated, high-capacity data traffic. Plus, Verizon's E-IDSR technology has built-in intelligence to detect trouble instantaneously and resolve it quickly.

The latest addition to the IntelliLight family is Enhanced IntelliLight Dedicated SONET Ring (E-IDSR). This enhancement to the popular IDSR product delivers the same reliability and security as always, with added features and functionality. E-IDSR allows customers to interface directly with Gigabit Ethernet (GigE) signals, as well as, expanding DS1 interface capabilities into higher speed rings.

How It Works
E-IDSR works in two ways. Normal Routing connects multiple locations by combining dedicated, fiber-based facilities and advanced SONET equipment. It ensures that no single points of failure occur from an end-user location to the point-of-presence.

An Alternate Route connection protects you in the event disaster strikes. Traffic reroutes at full bandwidth to keep applications running smoothly.
