Overview

What It Is
Verizon's Unbundled PRI ISDN Line Port is used to enable end-to-end digital connectivity for transmitting voice and data simultaneously. The port provides a DS1 electrical interface to our local switch.

The following PRI ISDN Line Port features are available when applicable guidelines are met:

  • Backup D Channel
  • Incoming Calling Line Identification
  • 5ESS Only Channel Configurations
  • Multiple Facility Signaling Control
How It Works
Wherever appropriate facilities are available, a PRI ISDN Line Port is provisioned on a first come, first served basis. The port terminates in a Verizon central office collocation arrangement.

For a base port, 24 DS0 64 Kbps channels are configured as 23 64 Kbps B channels for voice and circuit switched data traffic and a 64 Kbps D channel for out-of-band B channel signal control.
