Executive Profile
Mr. Roberts is Group Vice President of Verizon's International Carrier and Wholesale Sales Division, providing services and solutions to Carriers, ISPs, Resellers, Aggregators and Cable Operators worldwide. This unit includes Carrier Professional Services, providing consultancy, design, build, implementation, operational management and maintenance services to incumbents and new entrants around the globe.
Mr. Roberts joined MCI WorldCom in September 2000 as Managing Director of International Data Centres, from Global One, where he was Vice President of Corporate Business Development for Europe. Since joining the Company, he has held a number of senior executive positions covering Sales, Strategy, Business Development and Country Operations, often assigned missions to create new entities and develop innovative growth initiatives.
After beginning his career in the legal profession working for Ashurst, Morris, Crisp & Co., Mr. Roberts moved into the high-technology market where, over a fourteen-year IBM career, he gained extensive experience in the IT and telecommunications industries holding a vast range of positions with increasing responsibility. He also managed a number of Regional Country business units, notably expanding his international experience with assignments in Italy and South Africa.
Mr. Roberts holds a Masters Degree in Languages & Politics and is located in Paris, France.
