Executive Profile

Diane McCarthy is senior vice president - Customer Experience for Verizon Partner Solutions, and is responsible for delivering the best service experience with every interaction, including wholesale and retail ordering, provisioning and repair. This includes special and switched access, local, large business POTs, CPE products, Fast Packet, e911, Collocation, and Verizon Enhanced Product Support. Most recently, McCarthy served as vice president, VPS Complex Services Delivery in the Northeast Regions and she previously held the position of vice president - Complex Services Delivery for the South and West.
In January 2003, McCarthy was appointed executive director of Premium Customer Care Performance Assurance - Complex Delivery Wholesale Markets. In this position she was responsible for National Customer Support which included collocation program management, service and project management, resolving executive escalations, international carrier ordering and SONET support. During this time McCarthy was also responsible for the program office of the Wholesale Achievement Index.
Since joining AT&T Long Lines in 1982, McCarthy has held a variety of staff and line positions in the company with increasing responsibility, including Central Office Technician, large business sales and billing operations.
McCarthy has held board memberships with the United Way of Essex/Hudson and The Sea Girt Classic Car Show (a fundraising organization for Camp Sunshine.) She is the recipient of the TWIN award, a Tribute to Women in Industry sponsored by the YWCA of Hudson/Bergen Counties.
McCarthy received a B.A. degree in Communications from Rutgers University. She has also completed several Verizon executive programs with coursework at Wharton, the Brookings Institute and the Center for Creative Leadership.
