Basic Toll Free Service is a convenient, flexible service that allows callers to reach, free of charge to the caller, companies that subscribe to toll-free service. Because the long-distance network is extremely intelligent, you can route your incoming, toll-free calls according to your business needs and in most cases, without any special equipment or significant expense.
Carrier Origination
Carrier Origination provides facilities based service providers with a cost-effective solution for their dedicated toll-free traffic. Toll-free calls originate on the Verizon Network from anywhere in the North American Numbering Plan (NANP) for termination on your network. Dedicated-access locations are connected to Verizon’s nearest point of presence via DS1 (or greater) access.
End User Dedicated Toll Free
End-User Dedicated Toll Free service provides a cost-effective solution for your customers by providing toll free service that originates from the calling party and is terminated by Verizon to a dedicated access line between your customer’s premise equipment and the Verizon nearest Point of Presence (POP). Dedicated-access locations are connected to Verizon’s nearest point of presence via DS1 (or greater) access.
Switchless Toll Free
Switchless Toll Free Service provides end-to-end call origination and termination. You do not have to own a switch in order to resell this service to your customers. Verizon originates and terminates the toll free traffic for you. No expensive customer equipment is necessary as your customer’s toll free number is automatically routed to the Verizon Network. Traffic is originated from anywhere in the United States, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands and Canada, for termination to the end user’s ANI or premises equipment in the contiguous 48 United States.
There are four types of rating options listed below that are available to help Verizon Wholesale customers manage your long distance services. Please contact your Verizon sales team for more information on the below options and to discuss rates and charges.
Classic
Classic product pricing offers you a single postalized rate for terminations within the contiguous United States, extended domestic locations, and international termination around the world. The product is easy to understand and a perfect fit for a company looking for a turn-key solution.
Access Based Billing
Access Based Billing (ABB) incorporates a domestic rate structure based on 'Class' of local exchange carrier (LEC) within a state or U.S. Local Access Transport Area (LATA). With rates based on the underlying cost structure associated with one of eight LEC classes, Access Based Billing can help you maintain a competitive position in the marketplace.
Transcend
Transcend allows the purchase of transport on the Verizon fiber-optic network separately from LEC charges. The unbundling allows you to see component charges separately in the call detail records and invoice management reports. Each portion of the call appears and is reported in three separate pieces including: LEC originating charges (LEC Access), the portion of the call that is transported on the Verizon long distance network (Transport), and the Local Exchange Carrier terminating access charges (LEC Egress).
Operating Company Number Billing
Operating Company Number Billing (OCN) incorporates a domestic rate structure based on 'OCN' of local exchange carrier (LEC) within a state or U.S. Local Access Transport Area (LATA). With rates based on the underlying cost structure associated with ‘OCN’ within one of six LEC classes, OCN based billing can help you maintain a competitive position in the marketplace.
