Features
Here are highlights of our six most popular services. You can choose to offer one service, all services or any combination.
§ Category Listings - For those times when callers can only tell an operator what kind of business they want to locate and the approximate geographic area, our Category database handles these requests with ease. Operators use a national category (yellow page type) database to find numbers and business names by using keywords based on categories such as dry cleaners and automotive. Once located, the operator can offer your customers a variety of listing choices. As with Restaurant and Movie Listings, operators can complete the call to the requested business.
§ Customer Name and Address (CNA) - CNA is a reverse search feature that allows the caller to request a customer's name and/or address after giving the operator a complete telephone number.
· Directory Assistance Call Completion (DACC) – DACC is an auto completion service that is attractive and valuable for wireless phone users because they are often on the move. You will be able to present to your customers a professional image through customized branding of DA services with your company name, 24 hours a day, through Verizon’s experienced and well-trained operators. Wireless customers will have access to more than 18 million listings from a database that is updated daily. Verizon will provide you with detailed billing information for each call that is completed through DACC.
§ Movie Listings - Our operators can search by theater or movie in a database that houses data regarding movies from all major and independent theaters across the United States. Your customers hear the name of the theater, its address and phone number, the movie title and show times. One listing can be released for call completion when requested.
§ Restaurant Listings - We have a database of restaurant listings for many metro areas that can be searched by city, cuisine type, restaurant name or street name. The available information includes the restaurant name, price range of meals, address, hours of operation and phone number. Upon request, the operator can complete the call to one of the listings offered. (Call Verizon for available areas as we are continually securing new high-priority markets.)
§ SportsTicker - Sports enthusiasts can obtain reports for professional games, including hockey (NHL), football (NFL), basketball (NBA) and baseball (MLB). Reports on NCAA division teams for football and basketball are also available. This service provides callers with scores by current inning, quarter or period of the game in progress and the final score of completed games.
§ Weather - Upon request, operators can provide callers with weather reports in all 50 states and 2,400 international locations. Available information includes 24-hour detailed reports, a five-day extended forecast for the U.S. and a three-day forecast for international cities.
Applications
Enhanced Services can satisfy customer requests for information that will help them plan their social, travel and business activities as well as useful information on needed services and products. Information that can stimulate more calls on your network.
The CLEC must deliver its OS/DA traffic to the operator services switch, which Verizon will designate. The serving switch may either be the Traffic Operator Position System (TOPS) or the Operator Services Position System (OSPS). The facilities-based CLEC and the CLEC utilizing Unbundled Network Elements (UNEs) may access the TOPS/OSPS from its collocated facilities by purchasing dedicated trunk ports at the designated operator services switch. In New York, CLECs purchasing unbundled local switching can be routed from the applicable end-office to the operator switch using customized/LCC routing.
The CLEC may combine OS and DA on the same incoming trunk group. However, separate trunk groups are required for each NPA and for each LATA. Verizon will return all OS/DA calls requiring completion to the CLEC's collocated facilities via the dedicated TOPS/OSPS trunk port, or at the CLEC's request, complete the call over the Verizon network. Verizon requires an outgoing trunk group to provide Busy Line Verification and Interrupt for exchange access lines of a facilities-based CLEC.
Following the completion of a signed Interconnection Agreement and/or Agreement for IntraLATA Operator Services and Directory Assistance, Facilities-Based CLECs choosing Verizon as their Operator Services provider will be provided with a Technical Questionnaire. The IntraLATA OS/DA agreement will be negotiated with the Product Manager. The questionnaire, which must be completed for each LATA, begins the provisioning process. CLECs utilizing Unbundled Network Elements will be provided with a Network Design Request form in place of the Technical Questionnaire. These documents are available upon request.
