How It Works
DS0 Special Access Service options for connection are multipoint bridging, echo suppression, conditioning and multiplexing. A dedicated private line connects you to your customer or connects two end-user customers through a Verizon wire center or hub. There are three rate categories for service:
- Channel Termination or Subscriber Access Line (SAL) -- recurring/non-recurring charges apply.
- Channel Mileage or Transport -- a per airline mile rate is applied, fixed rates and Transport Termination may also apply.
- Options -- additional charges apply for signaling, hubbing, conditioning and transfers.
Benefits
- Using Verizon's connections for DS0 special access transports customer traffic digitally, cost-effectively and lets you offer customers more services for increased revenue.
- Upgrading to DS1 or DS3 services is easy.
- If customers ask for periodic data transfers, disaster recovery or extra day-to-day flexibility, our optional Network Reconfiguration Service reroutes your traffic on a scheduled basis.
Applications
- Leverage DS0 Special Access to connect customers to other profit-generating services like Frame Relay, ISDN or SONET.
- DS0 Special Access Service puts low-speed services on higher speed facilities for customer applications such as fast file transfers, videoconferencing, PBX or LAN interconnection, low speed terminal-to-host applications, manual ringdown line and off-premises extensions.
