Invoice Billing
Overview
Customize Your Customer Statements
Receive virtually the same billing service advantage that Verizon's Message Ready Service offers, except you retain more control over the information on your statement pages. Invoice Billing allows you to pre-package your billing records and give them to us for inclusion in our monthly customer statements. Verizon purchases your billing records, combines your pre-prepared bill pages with ours, and then completes the billing and collection process. Our service provides expert billing services that are more cost-effective than doing it all yourself.
With Invoice Billing, you design these features on your portion of Verizon's customer statements: blank lines; font sizes; underlining; legend data and location; bill messages; text phrasing; and the data presentation order.
How It Works
You give Verizon your pre-packaged billing records reflecting the accumulation and rating of messages, tax applications and page arrangement in standard Exchange Message Interface (EMI) format. Your billing records, though customized, follow our pre-defined format.
Next, Verizon purchases your billing records. We add your records to our monthly bills, mail the bills and collect and process customer payments. Then, we provide you:
- Call detail for unbillable messages.
- Post-billing adjustments in EMI format.
- Reports showing summary account level detail in EMI format for uncollectible charges.
Benefits
- Since Verizon purchases your billing records, you get your money from customers' charges up front.
- The ability to tailor the messaging and look of your statement pages builds your image, reinforces your brand and lets you communicate with customers in your own voice.
- Customers benefit from one-bill convenience and timely credits to their accounts.
- Invoice Billing also provides you key information regarding unbillables, uncollectibles and post-billing adjustments.
- Though you provide Verizon your statement pages, Invoice Billing reduces your costs in mailing bills and collecting and processing customer payments.
Applications
- Use Invoice Billing to improve your cash flow position and reduce the resources you dedicate for billing and collecting customer payments.
- Exercise our Inquiry Service option and Verizon's professional customer service representatives will take care of your customers' inquiries and process necessary adjustments.
Description
Invoice Billing allows a Customer to prepackage billing records for placement on an End-User invoice. Prepackaging means that the Customer, rather than Verizon, performs the accumulation and rating of messages, and the application of taxes using standard EMI Billing Records. Verizon only takes the prepackaged records and places them on the End-User's bill using a predefined bill format. The Customer maintains greater billing control of the End-User bill than a standard Message Ready End-User billing arrangement. This service is available in all Billing Regions.
Invoice Billing allows the Customer control of the appearance of the invoice, including the following:
- Blank lines
- Font sizes
- Underlining Legend data and location
- Bill messages
- Text phrases
- The order in which data is sorted and presented on the bill
Availability
Invoice Billing is available throughout the Verizon footprint.
Pricing
In all Billing Regions, the Bill Rendering Rate is applied for every End-User Invoice bill created by Verizon. The Message Processing Rate is applied for every call detail record placed on an End-User's bill by Verizon. Other EMI records used for Invoice Billing are chargeable. These charges will vary by record type.
See your federal and state tariffs for detailed information.
