Our service positions you to attract new business and encourage customer loyalty with a complete telephony service including local calling, directory listings, directory assistance, operator services, E-911 access, and long distance transport and termination.
Time to market using SIP Gateway Service is quick and easy. Simply own, support, and manage subscriber calling features via your soft switch and/or feature server – then count on Verizon to do the rest. SIP Gateway Service makes generating new revenue streams easy for you!
How It Works
SIP signaling is exchanged between Customers' network and Verizon via a secure IPSec tunnel connection. Media/RTP can be sent to Verizon VoIP gateways via the Public Internet (i.e. some other provider's broadband access to the Internet), via a Verizon-provided Internet Dedicated Access connection or via a Verizon-provided SIP Internet Access connection.
Our service interoperates with SIP on other networks so that your subscriber services are seamless. Multiple configuration options give you the flexibility to customize your service offerings to meet customer needs.
SIP Gateway Service provides origination of local and long distance calls from the PSTN to Verizons extensive VoIP network. Termination of both local and long distance calls (domestic, international, or both) from the Verizon VoIP network to the PSTN also leverages Verizons expansive domestic and international TDM network.
The Verizon SIP Gateway Service telephone numbers are available in 3,100+ rate centers across the U.S. and reaches over 80% of the U.S. population in all 48 contiguous states as well as Hawaii. Long distance terminations can originate from anywhere in the U.S. and be terminated worldwide.
Verizon also supports non-geographically relevant telephone numbers via the Foreign Telephone Number Assignment (FTNA) capability. FTNA provides the ability of assigning domestic U.S. telephone numbers to your subscribers regardless of geographic location. As an example, a customer in Los Angeles, CA could have a Chicago, IL telephone number. Some restrictions may apply.
Please contact your Verizon account manager for further details on availability.
SIP Gateway Service has various monthly recurring charges (MRCs) for telephone numbers that differ depending in the configuration that is chosen as well as non-recurring charges (NRCs) for specific services offered.
Different Pricing Options for Different Needs
Verizon makes it easier than ever for partners to package solutions right for any application. You can now choose to purchase the Two Way Local and Two Way Complete configuration telephone numbers (TNs) with the option of all Local calling being included with the TN's monthly recurring charge. This is referred to as the "metered" option. All incoming calls are included in these TNs monthly recurring charge.
The Inbound Complete configuration also is available with a "metered" option. TNs can be purchased for a low monthly recurring charge; all incoming calls also incur a charge per minute.
The domestic usage rate structure is based on the terminating Local Access Transport Area (LATA) and the Operating Company Number (OCN) or classification of the terminating Local Exchange Carrier (LEC) based on the dialed NPA-NXX. Other details of the usage pricing include the following:
High Velocity and Short Duration traffic such as traffic from outbound call center with sub-minute call duration can be supported with specific terms and conditions. An accurate forecast and description of the call patterns must be discussed with your Account team.
