Carriers that interconnect switches to the Verizon network will need to submit the SS7 Interconnect forms as a provisioning order for the signaling part of the network. This process takes 30 days to provision these orders/translations. Therefore, it should be planned and scheduled well in advance.
Subsequent to initial interconnection to the Verizon SS7 network, Carriers will also be required to submit the SS7 Interconnect forms when adding or changing point codes or interconnecting into additional LATAs/STPs.
